Founded by Danu Abeysuriya in 2007, RUSH started life in the game technology space, but was always fueled by the idea that technical prowess could solve bigger challenges—ones that truly impact how people interact with technology every day.

Our early days shaped the DNA that still defines us: a passion for technical excellence, a drive to tackle complex challenges, and an unwavering belief that technology should serve human needs in meaningful ways.
By 2010 'Rush Digital Interactive' was making a name in game-tech working with Sony, Microsoft and Disney, built on a foundation of technical excellence and creative problem-solving that continues to differentiate our approach today.
2018: The Evolution
We recognised that enterprise organisations faced increasingly complex digital challenges that demanded both technical expertise and human-centred design.
By combining these disciplines, we began designing and developing solutions that balanced technical sophistication with genuine user value.
The interactive waiting room at Starship Children's Emergency Department is a keystone project from this era.
From then until about 2022 things were... a bit hectic.
But we came through it having worked on one of the most impactful projects of our lifetimes. And it really helped us galvanise the proposition to keep driving us forward:
